Spice and Fire

Brainchild of the “Road Chef”, Don Hensley, and a group of food aficionados, Spice & Fire is an interactive member based site where users can view high end cooking demos performed in HD quality by one of the top chefs in the country. To expand the user experience Plum Tree created an iPhone app which allowed members to view videos, ingredients and create shopping lists from the convenience of their mobile phone.

Valentine House

In a unique ‘trade for services’, The Plum Tree Group designed and built the website for The Valentine House. While most of the work was done pro-bono, we were rewarded with a two night retreat for our leadership team. Plum Tree thanks Barbara for allowing us to be part of sharing the history of this historic South Bend, Bed and Breakfast.

iCompassion

iCompassion is a Virginia non profit organization created to support early screening, detection and treatment of chronic kidney disease. The founders of iCompassion approached us after having a bad experience with an offshore organization. After reviewing other solutions we ended up creating a custom social networking application. For obvious reasons this project was also a labor of love and we donated more than half the value of the application as pro bono work.

Bowling Network

The Bowling Network was the brainchild of a professional bowler (who will remain undisclosed for now). He was initially just looking to create a place for bowlers and bowling enthusiasts to network, share videos and promote events/tournaments. We created The Bowling Network as a custom solution before all the open source social networking platforms became popular.

Idenix

Idenix is a pharmaceutical company and they were looking to build an Intranet portal using Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS) 2007. The goal of this project was to provide a collaborative environment where Idenix employees can exchange and facilitate information.

Kamylon Capital

Kamylon Capital, a principal investment firm based in Boston, manages more than a billion dollars of capital primarily dedicated to preserving and enhancing the value of the businesses in its portfolio.

Kamylon Capital came to us with a bold request…they wanted essentially all the functionality of Central Desktop, basecamp (the two leading online project management softwares) plus a bunch of other custom features – and we had to do it using Sharepoint WSS.

MyIzzo

myIzzo was an investor backed startup that attempted to compete against Monster.com, CareerBuilder and HotJobs. This unique platform put video and interactivity at the center of the candidate and employer interaction and offered a suite of tools for employers to manage the process.

Rhanel

Renowned Chicago based fashion photographer chose The Plum Tree Group to build her interactive website complete with a custom content management system.

CC is the quick and easy way to get discounts for your favorite restaurants and experience what is tasty in your area. Plum Tree worked with the founder to create the original prototype for startup and we’re proud to have played a part in its success.

Their focus on family and community is second to none and the vibrancy of their services will cause members to rethink what they call “church”. Despite the distance, Plum Tree was able to deliver a unique web presence that matched their unique identity.

DeclareIT

Everyone has goals and a start-up company, Declare-It, provides a service to help achieve those goals. Whether they are personal or professional goals, the sleek looking Web site lets you track your progress and display results graphically and analytically in real-time. Personal supporters can be added to follow your progress and various other features have been added to increase the probability of attaining your declared goals.

Fibers is an innovative Web site that gives site users the opportunity to design and order customized products, such as t-shirts, hoodies, and a variety of other clothing items. The site allows one the freedom to go with their own creative vision.

Meeting Trader

MeetingTrader provides software, services, and a marketplace that empower Meeting Planners and Suppliers with the most relevant market information and analytics as they actively source, bid, and negotiate meeting contracts.

Synergy Chat

Synergy Chat is nothing less than an amazing example of what can be done in the “cloud”. Synergy Chat was started with the goal of creating rich cloud computing applications for video communication across the web. The key goal of Synergy Chat was to make all of our applications run with only the use of a web browser, taking advantage of the cloud computing concept. The functionality of the product rivals that of GoToMeeting and Webex without any download needed.

Design and Click

DNC (formerly ArtStudio) offers startup and experienced printers a platform to extend their printing services to their local market by adding a virtual self service kiosk where users can customize their screenprint and embroidery based designs.

Ricochet Partners

Ricochet came to us with an interesting challenge to create a flex based calculator for one of their clients that’s to be run on both web based and offline environments. The most complex part of the calculator were the intricate calculations that need to be implemented in the flex framework. The reports are displayed in pdf format. The offline version was built using Adobe AIR and packaged in Shu-player to avoid AIR installation on client PCs.

Primo Products

Looking to take their company and their relationship with DonJoy and AIRCast to the next level Primo turned to The Plum Tree Group to build a network of targeted websites as well as redesign their flagship site BetterBraces.com. We ended up doing 5 multi-sites all administered from one backend including several custom extensions, drop ship integration and search engine equity maintenance.

Skunk2

Skunk2 produces the highest quality, best performing aftermarket parts for modern sport compact cars. As a specialty shop they cater to enthusiasts with a decade of experience in the sport compact industry. Skunk2 presented a tremendous opportunity for us to stretch our wings in Magento. This site needed it all, from complex “parts”, “ model” and “make” tiered database work, to interactive graphical displays of their computerized parts and processes.
